General Passenger Car Transportation Business Transportation Terms and Conditions

(Scope of Application)

Article 1: Transportation contracts for the general passenger automobile transportation business operated by our company shall be governed by these Terms and Conditions, and matters not provided for in these Terms and Conditions shall be governed by laws and regulations or general customs.

If our company enters into a special agreement with respect to any provision of these Terms and Conditions to the extent that it does not violate the spirit of these Terms and Conditions or laws and regulations, that special agreement shall apply, notwithstanding the provisions of that provision.

(Instructions from staff)

Article 2: Passengers must obey the instructions given by our drivers and other staff in the course of their duties to ensure the safety of transportation.

(Acceptance of Transportation)

Article 3: Our company will accept the carriage of passengers, except in cases where acceptance or continuation of transportation is refused pursuant to the provisions of the following article, Article 4-2, Paragraph 2, or Article 4-4, Paragraph 2.

(Refusal to Accept or Continue Transportation)

Article 4: Our company may refuse to accept or continue transportation in any of the following cases:

  1. When the application for transportation does not comply with these terms and conditions of transportation.
  2. When there are no facilities suitable for the transportation.
  3. When the applicant requests a special burden in connection with the transportation.
  4. When the transportation is contrary to laws and regulations or public order or good morals.
  5. When there is a transportation disruption due to a natural disaster or other unavoidable cause.
  6. When a passenger does not comply with the crew's measures prescribed in the Transportation Regulations for Passenger Automobile Transportation Business, etc.
  7. When a passenger is carrying a prohibited knife or other item.
  8. When a passenger is carrying an item that has been refused permission to be carried on.
  9. When a passenger is heavily intoxicated.
  10. When a passenger is wearing unclean clothing.
  11. When a passenger is seriously ill and unaccompanied.
  12. When a passenger is a patient of a designated infectious disease, etc.

Article 4-2: Passengers are requested to refrain from smoking in our non-smoking vehicles. If a passenger smokes, the driver will request that the passenger stop, and if the passenger does not comply, the driver will refuse to accept or continue the transport.

Article 4-3: Passengers are prohibited from bringing certain items onto the vehicle. If the passenger is asked to clearly state the contents, the driver may refuse to allow the passenger to bring the item into the vehicle if the passenger does not comply.

Article 4-4: Passengers are requested to refrain from customer harassment. If the passenger does not comply, the driver will refuse to accept or continue the transport, and the driver may be reported to the police.

(Fares and Charges)

Article 5: The fares and charges collected by our company shall be subject to approval by or notification from the Director of the Regional Transport Bureau. In the case of hourly rental contracts, the fares and charges shall be based on the amount displayed on the fare meter.

Article 6: Our company requires payment of fares and charges when passengers disembark.

(Liability to Passengers)

Article 7: Our company shall not be liable for damage caused to passengers as a result of the operation of our vehicle, unless we have neglected our duty of care.

Article 8: The same applies to damage suffered by passengers in connection with other transportation.

Article 9: In the event of temporary suspension of service due to a natural disaster or other force majeure, we shall not be liable for compensation to passengers.

Article 10: If damage occurs due to the passenger's intentional or negligent acts, we will seek compensation from the passenger.

Regarding dashcams

In accordance with our internal operating regulations, we may record the inside and outside of our vehicles using dashcams to ensure that our operations are in accordance with our transportation terms and conditions.
We strive to further improve the safety and comfort of our operations by using this information to clarify the cause of any accidents, improve customer service, and train our employees.

Regarding customer harassment

We respond sincerely to customer complaints and grievances, and strive to provide better services in order to live up to their trust and expectations. However, if any "requests" from customers are deemed to be unreasonable or malicious, or in other words, customer harassment, we will proactively address such requests as a company and work to maintain and improve the working environment so that all employees can work safely and with peace of mind.
